The James W. Cannan Cannan Funeral Home, Inc. was founded by Jim “Boom” Cannan in 1947.  After serving in World War II as an Air Force pilot, Jim and his wife Norma opened the funeral home at 2397 Seneca Street.  Their goal was to provide a comfortable and affordable funeral home to serve the families of South Buffalo and the First Ward.

 

In 1981 their son Patrick Cannan entered the business and today he and his wife Pat are the owners.  The business expanded in 1997 with the opening of the second location at 3155 Orchard Park Road.

 

The goal of the Cannan Funeral Home is to treat your family as if you were our family.  We pledge to provide you with the utmost in professional and personal service.  Our funeral homes are designed to make you as comfortable as possible during a difficult time.
